Our Program
The Cadence Riding Academy program is committed to the development of young riders, providing a family atmosphere geared for learning, fun and success.

Our program is geared for all types of students — not only do we welcome the recreational rider, but also those with goals of competitive showing.
Lesson Options & Pricing
All new students begin with introductory "grasshopper" lessons. These introductory lessons allow the instructor to evaluate the student's riding level. Once the instructor determines the student is familiar with and capable of riding basics, students are placed in one-hour group lessons, with other students of similar ability.

- Why Take Riding Lessons?

Riding and caring for horses teaches life-long lessons of patience, responsibility, discipline, and compassion, and also improves balance, flexibility and overall physical fitness.
- What to Bring to First Lesson?

1) Signed CEC Liability Release (1 page). Click here for PDF.
2) Signed CEC Student Registration form (2 pages). Click here for PDF.
3) Payment for that day's lesson + remaining lessons for current month. Checks/cash only.
You may also want to bring a bottle of water, sunscreen & a carrot for your horse!
- What Will Be Taught?

Riding instruction is tailored to suit the student’s individual needs and goals. Not only do students learn riding fundamentals, but also important horsemanship skills such as leading, grooming & tacking.
- What Should Be Worn?
-
Students must wear appropriate riding attire including breeches or tights, English paddock boots, half-chaps & an ASTM/SEI certified Riding Helmet. Athletic shoes, loose or baggy clothing, jewelry and chewing gum are safety hazards and are not permitted.

The Cadence Riding Academy operates throughout the year, with all levels running continuously. A minimum of one weekly lesson is required. Cadence instructors arrange their own schedules.
A 24-hour notice is required for cancellation to receive a makeup, or lesson fees are forfeited.
- Academy Tuition?
-
Academy tuition is due in advance and on the 1st of each month. We accept cash or checks only.This is a commitment to completing that month's lessons. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS! There is a $20 late fee for lesson fees paid after the 10th of the month.
- How Do I Sign Up?

You may start lessons at any time during the month. Just contact our office at 348-SHOW (7469) & we will coordinate a lesson time with one of our professional instructors.
