Lucie Herendeen is a second generation equestrian with an extensive hunter/jumper show career.   Raised in Kansas City, MO, she competed as a junior in the hunter, jumper and equitation divisions and has campaigned horses from pre-green to Grand Prix.  She worked for Somerset Stables in Kansas and later founded Sun River Farms with Bobby Dreyer.  She has ridden under the tutelage of many prestigious trainers including Bobby Dreyer, Rick Fancher and Britt McCormick.

Lucie’s accomplishments include championships, zone awards, and year-end awards on the Midwest and East coast circuits, but she is probably best known for her successful career on her amateur owner horse, Black Eyed Blues, and her jumper, Oberlin.

Lucie completed her master’s degree at Penn State University and has served on the board of directors for the Greater Oklahoma Hunter Jumper Association, the Oklahoma Hunter Jumper Association and as a course designer and judge for many local and B-rated shows in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas.  She is a member of USEF, USHJA, and GO.

Lucie has worked as a certified personal trainer, specializing in sports conditioning for the past 10 years.  This gives her a unique ability to prepare riders physically and mentally for top level show competition. We welcome Lucie to the Cadence Equestrian Show Team!
